Goodreads Redesign

Web Design Speculative Project - Febuary 2025
I redesigned the Goodreads website as a speculative project to improve user experience and revitalize its interface. This project focused on enhancing navigation, refining visual hierarchy, and optimizing a digital book catalogue. The redesign was created using Indesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.

The current Goodreads website design is visually cluttered and lacks cohesion, making it difficult for users to locate information and navigate effectively. To address these challenges, I have redesigned the Goodreads website with a focus on enhanced visibility and a well-structured visual hierarchy for a more intuitive and seamless user experience.

My redesign emphasizes streamlined navigation, improved readability, and a cleaner aesthetic that enhances usability. By refining the layout, optimizing search functionality, and implementing a more structured visual hierarchy, users can more easily discover books, engage with reviews, and navigate the platform with ease.

Drawing inspiration from the current Goodreads color scheme, I incorporated dark brown, tan, and gray into my design. Additionally, I introduced a soft blue to evoke the sense of calm that reading as a hobby can bring.
